3W Industry Service is founded by Simon Øland near Lindø Shipyard in the town of Munkebo, Denmark. With the sole focus of offering specialized welding repair solutions and structural repair towards heavy steel structures, with a high flexibility on a global scale.
In 2019 3WIS was certified within NDT level 2 inspection work. Hereby giving us a stronger asset to take on a larger scope of the cases we worked on in-house in relation to repair and life extension of steel structures.
In 2021 3WIS opens the first office outside the HQ in Munkebo in Esbjerg, Denmark. The location makes us able to be closer to many of our clients in the area and likewise build a local organization with close relations to our clients. The new office is today our official headquarters.
As a natural part of our work, we in 2022 begin to offer taking in the full scope of work in relation to repair and especially life extension of steel structures and hereby reducing downtime of assets, such as wind turbines, marine vessels and power stations. This involves an overall preventive maintenance strategy, feasibility studies and mockups to prevent potential breakdowns.
I the spring of 2023, 3WIS opens a local office in Newcastle upon Tyne. Led by Stephen Chambers, Head of NDT & Inspection at 3WIS, the main focus of the new office is to provide direct support and handle all advanced NDT and inspection tasks on a global scale.
